Program Summary
Seasons 4 Success is a program designed to provide services and support
for the Crisfield area 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with attendance
and reading problems. The program addresses poor academic success
due to reading skills and lack of intrinsic motivation to attend school.
The program utilizes the services of the Kumon Learning Center to
evaluate the reading level of each participant and provides one on one
tutoring and activities to improve reading levels. This includes
daily worksheets, weekly progress meetings and monthly testing to
increase reading fluency and comprehension. The program is
provided year round, with a dedicated after school program and an all
day summer program. In addition to the reading program, Seasons 4
Success includes character development sessions to provide the primary
developmental assets to the participants. Field trips are also
provided as part of the program.
