Assessments
The Local Management Board identifies priorities and targets
resources for improvement based on community needs assessment.
This assessment is used to develop a strategy to help the Local
Management Board better focus available funding on improving areas of
concern. The Local Management Board also maintains a community
resource guide to help all residents of Somerset County in finding the
services they need. The latest needs assessment, strategic plan,

Annual Reports
The Maryland Association of Local Management Boards publishes an annual report of highlights and accomplishments for each county in the state. The Somerset County Local Management Board also publishes an annual report which highlights the accomplishments of all the programs funded during the year.

Newsletters
The Somerset County Local Management Board publishes a quarterly newsletter to provide updates on the activities we participate in and the grants and funds we are receiving.

Community-wide Summits
Since 2007 the Somerset County Local Management Board has been partnering with other agencies in Somerset County to host empowerment summits for the families of the community. The summits have had a powerful effect on the participants, which is outlined for each event in a report form.
